BA (Hons) Business Management at Northumbria

Hi everyone,

I'm considering the BA (Hons) Business & Management distance learning program at Northumbria University and have some questions for those who have experience:

1.

Has anyone here completed or currently studying this program?

2.

I understand the program offers 240 credits (Level 5 & 6), compared to the standard 360 credits. Has anyone successfully applied for Master's programs with this qualification? If so, which universities accepted your application?

3.

For past/current students - did Northumbria offer any options to top-up the remaining 120 credits? What were the pathways available?

Thanks in advance!

I believe that the course you're referring to is this one. If so, the reason that it only covers 240 credits at levels 5 and 6 is that it expects you to already have 120 credits at level 4 before you join the course.

From the top of page mentioned above:

"If you have a Level 4 qualification in a related subject such as a Higher National Certificate, Higher Apprenticeship, Certificate in Higher Education or equivalent our flexible course will allow you to top up your studies and fast-track to a BA (Hons) degree."

From the entry requirements section:

"A Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher Apprenticeship or Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE), or equivalent UK/Overseas qualification, in a related subject."

Do you already have a level 4 qualification in a related subject? If so, then you already have the 120 credits you're asking about.
