Should I take English HL or Psychology HL?
Hello,
I am currently taking SL Psychology and HL English, but my grades for both subjects are currently at a 4. In the first period, I achieved a 7 in Psychology, but that was only for Paper 3. However, my grade dropped to a 3 in the second period. As for English, my Paper 1 score improved from a 3 to a 4, and my teacher has mentioned that I’m making progress. He’s also very supportive and always willing to help me.
I now need to decide which subject to take at HL for my UK medical school application, as my other two HL subjects are Chemistry and Biology. I would really appreciate any advice on whether I should choose HL Psychology or HL English.
P.S. With SL Psychology, I sometimes struggle to recall details from studies due to my poor memory, whereas with English, I’m starting to grasp the concept of analysis. I am currently in Period 4 and will soon be entering Period 5 of IB1.
