Newcastle 1st Yr food shop
Where do most students do their food shop if they are at marris house or park view and do they walk to the shops or is that way too far? I'm just trying to look for accom for this September and I wondered

From my experience, most students in Park View and Marris House used the supermarkets in city centre - there is a Tesco and a M&S. But, mainly I found a lot of students there would order supermarket deliveries. Delivery is usually £1.50 to £5 depending on the slot you pick. They deliver to student halls and all you need to do is load it into some carrier bags!
It is completely to your preference, I found it easier and way cheaper to meal plan and get the food delivered. I also split delivery costs with housemates at times to make it more affordable.
