Adult nursing timetable

I know every university is different but roughly what is your timetable? Like when doing adult nursing? How many days a week do you have to attend university? I know the placements are full-time employment. But I was wondering how many days a week do you have to attend university when you’re doing your theory? Any advice would be appreciated.

Oh good I really hope my uni will be the same as some people say it’s 5 days a week 9-4pm! And I’m worried how I will find time to do assignments when Iv got kids and part time job 🙈🙈 really hope it’s 2-3 days a week so I can have couple days at home in piece and quiet to study x thanks for reply

Hello Izabela54,

It varies by university, but for theory blocks, usually most nursing students have around 2-3 or 2-4days of lectures/seminars per week. I do 2 days a week now in my final year from 10am - 3pm. Some weeks might be more intense, especially before exams or assignments.

Placements are full-time (37.5 hours/week) and usually follow shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
It’s a busy schedule, so planning your time well is key. Are you trying to fit in part-time work alongside your studies?

Thank you for your reply and yes I’ll be going to bank as a carer I’m a full time carer atm and my company said they’ll put me to bank once I start my study so I can try and fit some work in whenever I have time but in top of this I have 2 children (3 and 6) so just hoping I have at least 1 or 2 days a week at home to study while they are at childminders/school was worried I’ll be at uni 5 days a week and have no time to work on assignments as it will be tough to do that while kids are at home 😂😂
