i have an advise 20 marker question and it’s ’advise whether yana is criminally liable for theft’

i don’t know how to structure it or what to add or any cases

Hi! I do OCR law too so I can try and explain how I do these questions: start off with an introduction just giving the definition of theft which is under s1 of the theft act 1968: an appropriation of property belonging to another with intention dishonestly,
Then write down your AO1 (cases/law)
Actus reus - appropriation, property, belonging to another
Men’s rea - dishonesty and intent
( I have flashcards on these on quizlet if you would like them)
Then apply this law to the question so eg yana is only permitted to take one cake but she takes two and so is appropriating the property dishonestly
Then conclude with whether you think she is liable or not! Hope this helps
