Unsatisfied with the lack of unity in a club or team

Hi all,
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who feels the same way about clubs or teams in uni, be it for sports, technical clubs, or otherwise. I feel like I've tried so many of them, and I've attended a club for a sport I'm already good at and also am an integral member of one of our school's robotics teams. I just feel like I don't get the same sense of unity and accomplishment from it as I did in high school, and I just feel like given the environment of university where everyone is so focused on themselves it will never happen. It almost baffles me how people can be completely invested in a single extracurricular given how impersonal everything feels. Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a common feeling?

I feel you may be in the minority, but it's still a valid feeling.

Why do you feel like you don't get the same sense of achievement? What's the difference between here and secondary school?
