St Andrews or Edinburgh for Theology/Philosophy?

I’m an international student from Latin America and I really need help with this situation. I applied for three Master:

At St Andrews University I applied for: MLitt in Analytic and Exegetical Theology and MLitt in Systematic and Historical Theology.

At Edinburgh University I applied for: Theology in History MTh.

I got accepted for the three Masters and I am really grateful, but I don’t know which one I should choose honestly. I know both are really good in Philosophy and Theology which are my main subjects. Also, St Andrews is quite renowned in the UK, for example, in the three national rankings by The Complete University Guide, The Guardian and The Times and The Sunday Times it is ranked at the top but internationationally it is not ranked as good as nationally. Edinburgh does really well in the QS, THE, ARWU but not as good as St Andrews in national terms.

I know that these rankings are just a guide, however, I am trying to see every single aspect in order to make the decision. What is the perception people have of St Andrews or Edinburgh in the UK? Academically are the same? Which one would you choose if you were me?

Please, let me know your thoughts and thanks beforehand for your help.

Edinburgh is a much bigger university, so it does better in the world rankings because its research output is much larger. The national ranks are more concerned with things such as student satisfaction, which is whrere St Andrews is really good. They are both good universities, however, in your field I think St Andrews is better. It is the same for me, I am in Classics/Ancient History and I would certainly choose St Andrews over Edinburgh but that is simply because in my specific subject St Andrews excels.
