Does anyone know if Glasgow has any exotics handling and so on in like the first two years? As from their admissions statement of careers they state that most of their students go on to farm, equine, research, academia and so on, but haven't mentioned much about conservation medicine, wildlife/zoo/exotics. They do have a final year selective for this field I believe, but does anyone know about exposure and handling of exotics etc from the beginning itself ?
I know that an individual can go on to work in any field if they put in the extra work themselves, but just wanted to know how much support UofG itself was providing to the students in this aspect from the beginning.
If any present students or alumni could provide some input that would be great !!
Also in regards to EMS, is it well organized by the Uni itself? As in is the insurance part etc handled by the uni making it convenient for the students ? (Or is all the organization to be taken on by the student?)(Is it easy to do some parts of the EMS which are permitted to be done abroad, or is this hard to organise at the UofG?)
Can I also know how the facilities are at the Garscube Campus?
Is the course structured out well, and are you'll split up into much smaller groups during labs and so on so that there's more direct student-professor interaction, or is it the entire cohort at once ?
If anyone could provide any further insights into the vet med D100 course at the University of Glasgow I would really appreciate it!
