University of reading accomodation for architecture student

Hi; I have an offer at the UoR for BSc Architecture. Its school of architecture is based in London Road Campus and not Whiteknights main campus. Should I look for an accommodation on Whiteknights campus or a private studio near London road?

Good evening,

its great to hear you are thinking of studying at UoR.

The London Road campus is a 15 minute walk from the Whiteknights campus. Some fo the off campus accommodation options may be best for you, these are still university owned but they are closer to the London Road campus. For example Wantage Hall and St George's Hall are closer to London road than the other university options. If you use google maps you will be able to see the walking route from these accommodation options to the London road campus.

Alternativly, private accommodation near London road is a great option, and i know quite a few students who live their as it is close to London road campus, and closer to town.

i hope this information helps, and you are able to make an informed decision.

All the best,
Ella

Good afternoon,

It's great to hear you are also studying Architecture.

We currently have a thread for 2025 applicants, where new students can find and talk to each other. Similarly, the student ambassadors have posted key tips for joining the university. So you may also want to comment on this post to see if you can find other Architecture students.

If you have any questions, please let us know, and we will be happy to help.

All the best,
Ella
