Hi @harlirooke

You could consider:

The role of a nurse.

Why you want to be a nurse.

The 6Cs.

What skills and experiences you have related to nursing.

Hope that helps and good luck for your interview!

Hey harlirooke,

That’s exciting and congrats on getting the interview! Here are a few key things to be aware of and prepare for:
1. Know the 6Cs of Nursing
Compassion, Care, Communication, Courage, Commitment, and Competence, the core values and NMC code, and interviewers will expect you to understand and demonstrate them in your answers.

2. Understand the Role of an Adult Nurse
Be clear on what adult nursing involves, including patient care, multidisciplinary teamwork, health promotion, and supporting patients emotionally as well as physically. You may be asked why you chose adult nursing over other fields.

3. Prepare for Scenario Questions
You might get questions like:
-Tell us about a time you worked under pressure.
-How would you handle a difficult patient or relative?
-What would you do if you noticed a patient’s condition worsening?
Use the STAR technique to structure your answers clearly.

4. Why This University?
Be ready to explain why you chose their nursing programme. Check out their placement opportunities, teaching methods, and partnerships with hospitals so you can mention something specific.

5. Be Aware of Current NHS Issues
It’s good to have an idea of challenges in nursing, like staff shortages, mental health support etc. They might not ask directly, but showing awareness in your answers can set you apart.

6. Reflect on Any Experience You Have
Whether it’s volunteering, care work, or even personal experiences with family and healthcare, think about what you learned and how it relates to being a nurse.

7. Ask good questions at the End.

Good luck!😇
