Study abroad year (Sogang University, Seoul)

Hi im applying to do a study abroad year at Sogang University, im in the process of changing my course from a 3 year to a 4 year course, I am currently on the maximum amount of student finance i can get. I have 2 questions
1) do i need to wait till i have changed my course from a 3 year to a 4 year course to apply for student finance
2)if i am getting the full amount £8900 will i get a similar amount for my study abroad year?

Are you currently in your 2nd year just now? Are you university sending us a Change of Circumstances to update to the 4 year course? Will you be away for the full academic year?

yes i am just finishing my 2nd year now, i will be sending my university a change of circumstances to update to a 4 year course, the mobility officer is away until the end of the month. I will be doing the study abroad for the full year.

You will be assessed at the overseas rate for the Maintenance Loan and it may be more than you already receive.

Thanks i think i have done something wrong on my application because it keeps throwing out numbers a lot lower than they should be im going to book an appointment with the finance team to sort this issue out
