Chem mock exam

I got a C in my chemistry mock…but got 92% in paper 1 and did absolutely s in paper 2 bc I didn’t revise organic chem. (all of it was organic chem)
term 1 I got D, term 2 I got C. Term 3 mini tests I got C.
I feel like my life is doomed bc I rlly wanted to prove myself in mocks but didn’t. I have an end of year assessment in term 6. I’m sure I can get 90%+ if I just revise organic chem 🥀🥀
If do achieve that, do you think I could be predicted A ?
I rlly need an A as I wanna do medicine. Gap year is rlly a last resort for me.

First of all, I just want to say it’s completely normal to feel frustrated when things don’t go as planned, but please don’t be too hard on yourself! You’ve recognized the key area where you need to improve (organic chemistry), and that’s a huge step in the right direction. Remember, your journey doesn’t have to be perfect to be successful.
Getting a C in your mocks doesn’t mean you’re doomed. It just means there’s room for growth and improvement, and you’ve still got time. If you dedicate yourself to mastering organic chemistry before your end-of-year assessments, you absolutely could get those 90%+ scores you’re aiming for. And if you consistently show that improvement in those final assessments, it can definitely help your case when it comes to predictions.
As for whether you could be predicted an A—yes, it’s possible, especially if your final results show a strong upward trend and improvement. Teachers often consider your progression, not just your past performance. If you can nail the organic chemistry content and finish strong, that will definitely help. Just stay focused, plan your revision time carefully, and keep pushing forward. You’ve got this!
And if you don’t get that A straight away, a gap year isn’t the end of the world either. It could give you a chance to really refine your skills, gain some experience, and apply to medicine with an even stronger application
