How old do you have to buy permanent hair dye?

So I tried to buy hair bleach without my parents knowing but they said that because I was a minor, I could not buy it, despite them saying before that I have to be 16. Now I want to dye my hair black but there isn’t a black hair dye in the semi permanentbrand I use so I need to buy permanent hair dye. Now I have 2 questions.
1. What age do you have to be to buy permanent hair dye?
2. Is there a black semi-permanent hair dye (my parents could buy that for me)?

Try again in a different shop, I usually get it out of bodycare or boots. I use permanent live which is definitely a 16 cause it says on the box although if you would rather try semipermanent first, I’d say try crazy colours, Ik their bright colours are quite vibrant. I think actual bleach is probably a different age limit from permanent dye since the dye contains less so it’s not as likely to fry your hair which is probably why they didn’t let you buy it the first time.

hi! i've been dying my hair since i was nine and even if it says a certain age on the box, it doesn't really matter. as long as you are careful with the dye and do a patch test (if you think you need it) you should be able to buy any dye. do you look particularly young?? I've been buying my own dye since i was 13 and i've never been questioned. maybe use self checkouts and act more confident to seem older! oh and don't dress in a childish way. most shops won't have a problem
