if i get a tutor now, will it be useful for maths levels

im considering getting an alevel maths tutor, one who has proven to get top grades by all her students. Ik its late but can it still change my math grade from like a D to a A/B?

Thanks.

Also, if you have any personal stories, can you share them as motivation lol!

You could just ask your teachers for some help and advice, and then do the work required.
No-one else can actually do that for you.

I understand!

But some of my teachers are stingy and rude lol and the tutor that I am planning to have, ik she will help me go through content and master my weaker areas in maths. Also, we are already behind in maths asw!

I would say start with watching TL maths for any topics you don't understand, I was getting C's and since watching him at the start of year 13 and being confident with the content, im predicted an A*

Absolutely! With the right tutor, dedication, and strategy, jumping from a D to an A/B in A-Level Maths is absolutely possible, even if it feels late in the game.

It shouldn't be needed as most schools give loads of additional help. We have regular drop-ins for both A level and GCSE.

My school doesn't give help us often, they insist that we solve the problem independently or with peers. If we still have a question, it is very difficult to get support due to how they expect you to do the work, rather than helping you find solutions towards understanding the problem!

There is a balance between students asking for help too quickly. Are there no revision sessions at lunchtime?

nope

Have the class asked for this?

Anyway the Dr Frost link will be valuable in conjunction with a tutor.
