What course are you applying for that you think Exeter and Southampton are worse than Nottingham for employability?

Which universities would you want to apply to through clearing?

Have you visited any of your choices?

Did you get feedback from Notts on the reasons for your rejection?

Hi there. Congratulations on receiving an offer from us. I do hope you have taken the opportunity to book and attend one of our offer holder visit days. The last one is actually this weekend. If you would like any more information about this then do check your emails for the invitation and guidance how to book.

If you are not able to attend then there is still lots of ways to find out more about us. Using features like ask a current student, virtual campus tour, the online open day webpage and getting in touch with the enquiries team directly.

I just thought I would also highlight our careers support - Career Zone is available to throughout your studies to help you find term time and vacation work as well as continuing support into your career for 3 years after you graduate.

Hope this helps

Heyy!

First of all, congratulations on getting offers from University of Southampton. That’s a big achievement and you should be proud of yourself!

As a current student at the University of Southampton, I just wanted to say I totally get how overwhelming it can be trying to decide what to do next, especially if things didn’t go the way you expected with your firm choice. But honestly, don’t feel disheartened!

Southampton is a brilliant university and there’s so much more to it than just rankings By the way, Law at Southampton is ranked high at 11th in the UK for graduate prospects—check it out here:

We have amazing facilities like our on-campus mooting room, and the Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise team here is genuinely fantastic. They’re really hands-on in helping students explore career paths, find internships, and prepare for life after uni:

From my personal experience, I absolutely love being at Southampton. The uni is so supportive from lecturers to outside of study time. The city is itself is very close to London and it is beside the sea. It has so much going on! Whether you’re into shopping, food, nightlife, or just want some quiet places to relax, there’s something here for everyone. It’s a great balance between study and fun.

Also, I know a few friends who are studying Law here and they’re really enjoying the course. It is challenging but rewarding, and they feel well supported throughout.

If you ever want to chat more about what it’s like here, feel free to reach out. But honestly, don’t stress too much you’ve got great options in front of you, and University of Southampton could be the perfect fit.

Hope to see you here in September!

Best wishes,
Junfan
