During my component 1 performance, I forgot one of my cues, and I made a big deal over it. I only ended up losing 2 marks, and still getting 95% over the whole component. An examiner would mark you down for that, but would also look at your positives throughout your performance. Encourage them on the areas they did well at during they performance.

If they really want a high grade, they need to absolutely focus during the written exam. They can get 7 or 8, if they work hard for it. For example, I need to answer acting/directing-related questions to a 70s play (Find Me), and do an evaluation on a performance on the Woman In Black I watched in 2023. Maybe have them ask their teacher for exemplars, past papers, or on tips on how to write the question in the style that is needed.
