Being a student can be super expensive, but there are definitely some savings to grab up! Whether it’s on a little investment purchase or a new going out top (my favourite thing to buy!) making the most of your student status is something I’d 100% recommend! In this blog I’ve compiled a couple of my favourite students saving tips.
UNiDAYS/ Student Beans-
Now potentially the most obvious way to get student discount would be to sign up to UNiDAYS and student beans. Giving you access to student discount across loads of brands and places in two apps, it’s so worth signing up and creating accounts. Now there is a couple of things to know, one thing being that you do need a profile picture as places such as Superdrug will often check to make sure it’s you. The other important thing being that if you’re using student discount, you are the person expected to pay as it’s yours and only yours (so if using it for a mate definitely be discreet and sort money out after)!
Subscriptions-
Subscriptions can really build up and get expensive! If you’re a student and you just can’t let go of some of your subscriptions then it’s definitely worth checking if they do a student account. Amazon prime, Spotify and others all do deals that can save you up to half the price a month. Another tip is also a bit of a cheeky one but it can also be worth splitting subscriptions like Netflix with your house to make sure you all save a little bit more.
Vouchers and bonuses-
This tip is by no means telling you to buy things you don’t need to get vouchers, however if you are making a purchase it can be worth considering. Especially during September when it’s freshers season, some bigger purchases will come with benefits for students. Bills packages and subscriptions like odeon limitless, will often do student deals that mean you can get them cheaper or they come with an Amazon voucher! This is definitely one to look out for if you’re buying anyways as they aren’t always advertised the best and you can pay the same.
