Well, that very much depends on how you're defining "best". Other that it being in London, what are you looking for in a university? What are you looking for in a Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics course?

Of those, Kingston probably has the better reputation for courses in the IT / computer science space.

The normal way I'd establish the quality of teaching is to look at the data from the National Student Survey, which surveys all final year graduates each year. This data (and much more besides) is published on The Uni Guide and can be access via the links below.

Digital Forensics and Cyber Security BSc (Hons) at London Metropolitan University
Cyber Security and Digital Forensics BSc (Hons) at Middlesex University
Cyber Security & Digital Forensics BSc (Hons) at Kingston University
Cyber Security & Digital Forensics BSc (Hons) at University of Greenwich
Cyber Security and Forensics BSc (Hons) at University of Westminster

However, for many of these courses no data is available as insufficient students responded to the survey - even when they broaden the profile to the general subject area rather than the specific course. As a result, I'm not sure how best to establish which has the better teaching. :frown: It would be tempting to say that London Met must be better, as that have a higher proportion of students obtaining a 2:1 or above - but I suspect that's down to less demanding assessments. (I have no evidence for that, however.)

Reputation is obviously subjective. My subjective option (as I mentioned above) is that Kingston has the highest reputation for this type of course, followed by Greenwich and then the rest. Of course, none of these have a particularly good reputation.

I can't really comment on the student life at each of them, I'm afraid.

Im starting at Greenwich this september for the same course. Of your options, I also had offers from Westminster and London Met. I used TheUniGuide to make my decision. It seemed like Greenwich had the most positive feedback. When making my decision, I was less concerned with the grades people received, and I was more interested in the type of teaching environment and facilities the unis have. Let me know what you end up deciding 👍🏼

Hi,

Nice to hear that you are thinking of Kingston!

I don't personally study the course here but I am a student here at Kingston so can give you some insight into the university as a whole.

I believe the course is based at the Penrhyn Road campus which is like the main campus here at Kingston. It is just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Kingston, where there are lots of shops and places to eat. It is nice to go to a café and study or eat by the river. Lots of things are based at Penrhyn such as the student union, careers centre and the university gym. There is also a library, cafes and canteens.

Here are some previous posts I have done that you may find useful.

I would also really recommend going to open days for as many unis as you can, as you get a good insight as to what it may be like to study and live here and speak to current students and lecturers. More info about our upcoming open days are on the website Open Days and events | Kingston University London

I hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask
