UCAT prep + tips

Hey everyone ,
I wanted to make this post because i’m super stressed about the UCAT. I’m currently in year 12, has anyone started revising for it yet ? Can any year 13s or anyone else give tips to ensure we get the best score.

With the scrapping of abstract reasoning , do you think that Universities that ranked UCAT very highly before will continue to do so , such as Imperial etc.

Should i get Medify or Medentry as i’ve seen various debates , i’m leaning more towards Medify though as some people say that it’s more tailored to the UK while Medentry is more tailored to Australia and that it’s harder.

I’m looking to take the test in Late august but i’m gonna start little revision then 8 weeks before is when i start my rigorous revision.

Hi, I’m in year 13 and did the UCAT last year,
I think starting revision 8 weeks before is a good time frame, I did similar.
I would imagine the universities that rank the UCAT highly will continue to do so even though the format has changed slightly
My biggest tip is to familiarise yourself with the format, question types and shortcuts as much as possible because time is the biggest challenge. Also leave the official UCAT mocks until later in your revision as they are most similar to the real thing
I personally think medentry/medify is worth it but only pay for as much as you’re going to use it as it can be expensive
Hope this helps!

I wouldn’t say so, take it easy though
Just familiarise yourself with the format and the shortcuts
Maybe half an hour a week
