Does anyone know how much it will cost to do a year abroad in either eu or America/canada while studying at either Portsmouth or Kent- I’m more likely to get lower grants

Different EU countries have different costs of living, different parts of a single country can have significant differences in costs of living etc.

I’d there any specific plans that you have in mind for the year abroad? Is there a specific area or institution that you want to attend or work for during your year abroad?

The cost will depend on which country you choose to do your year abroad in. You can find some really helpful information on the costs and funding here. The link will take you through all you need to know!

There is also the opportunity to take a summer abroad at Kent instead of a year abroad if a year is too long for example.
