teaching was good in swansea. there is streamlining but zero jobs out there for any students.

Another lie from the organisation. 100s unemployed. Can someone from BMA take over the PA course. they might have a better idea how to float this sinking boat from HEIW.

UWE has closed their course for 2025. This is now the SIXTH university to close this dead-end course:

Chester (last year)
Sheffield Hallam
Reading
UAE
BSMS
UWE

Others will follow suit. If you have applied for this course, do your research and run. There is a reason these 25K courses are closing. The job title and scope for PAs has changed as per Leng recommendations which have been accepted by the NHS and the government. Please do not waste your money.

The national pay scales force hospitals to pay newly qualified PAs more than locally employed doctors with two years experience. About 50% of this years F2s can't find training posts so are going to be unemployed in a few weeks time. Next few years is likely to be the same.

So why would any hospital create new PA posts or fill existing posts when a PA leaves?
