UCAS Clearing opportunities?

Hi! I've received all my UCAS results for Law as of this week. I've flunked my LNAT so hard despite having lots of preparation so the outcome of my UCAS unis were pretty unfortunate.

My academic counselor told me that there are great opportunities for clearing this year... Does anyone know or predict that there's going to be decent LNAT unis in clearing this year?

Thank you all for the help ><.

They can't have a clue what will be in August Clearing yet - no-one does.
Whilst top Law Unis requiring LNAT will not be in Clearing for UK applicants - they may be for International places.
However if they have already rejected you this cycle, they will not look at you again.

Where have you been rejected from?
Where do you have an offer from?

Hi there!

I'm sorry to hear you are having a hard time! Before clearing, there is something called UCAS Extra which runs which is for people who haven't managed to gain offers from their original 5 choices. You can see which courses are still available by going to the UCAS website and filtering to courses with availability!

Alternatively, you can give the universities admissions teams a call to see if they still have spaces and what your options are!

Hi @goingtolawschool

Lots of universities will have places available through Clearing this year. Solent University's LLB (Hons) is in the top 5 law courses in the country as voted by the Guardian - you can find out more about the course here. You can still make an application for this course now rather than waiting until Clearing, either through UCAS Extra or just adding a further application if you haven't made your five yet.

Our graduates also go on to great success, and a recent graduate Paige's story can be seen here.

If you'd like to find out more, you can come and visit us on an open day, or alternatively get in touch with our admissions team on [email protected]

Wishing you all the best with your studies!

QMUL, SOAS, City, RHUL, Birbeck and Goldsmiths all constituent members of the University of London have places in UCAS Clearing every year. 🙂

However, LSE, UCL and KCL do not enter UCAS Clearing, unfortunately. ☹️

Hi there,

We recommend you speak with a member of our Admissions team - you can do this directly here. They'll be able to advise you and explore your options further. You can also find some useful information about Clearing on this page. If you'd like to find out more about your subject of interest, you can come along to one of our Open Days. Find out more here: https://www.royalholloway.ac.uk/student-life/visit-royal-holloway/open-days/.

We hope this helps.

Best wishes,

I'm looking for places at Warwick or Bristol (with a lower LNAT requirement).

I have been rejected from UCL, KCL, and Durham. Accepted to Newcastle and Queen Mary.

I can't see either Bristol or Warwick needing to put Law in Clearing.

This just shows what nonsense league tables are. You would have to do a lot of (probably very enjoyable) drugs to believe that Solent University is in the top five for law in the UK.

I would choose QMUL, it's a good university.
