Uni of Manchester or Sheffield for economics?

I have got an offer for both Manchester and Sheffield to do BA Economics with a placement which I am really excited about. However I don’t know which one is better as I have found they are so similar from the open days. I’ve been to Sheffields offer holder day and I loved it, and I am due to go to Manchester on the 26th. I am curious how the students actually find the teaching and the course as they’re very similar?
Any help is appreciated😊

Hey,
Congratulations on your offers!
If you are struggling to get responses there is also a chat-to-us function on the Uni website where you can talk to current students in Economics. Hopefully Manchester has one too and you can compare better!

Maybe see you around Sheffield next year!

Sheffield is known for its Politics faculty and I would say that Manchester is better regarded for Economics. However, you are committing to 3 years of your life and £30K of teaching debt, so the most important factor is what you get out of the experience and being immersed in the City/Campus is almost as important as the relative ranking of the course
