My daughter is waiting. They have an offer holder day for this on Saturday so some people must have offers!

Hi yes I’ve received an offer for BSc neuroscience in December but was put on hold for the Msci course, so I will be going on Saturday I am tempted to ask them when we will hear back lol, I’m on a different forum with a spreadsheet and saw a couple of people get offers early November and just one international offer on the 28th Jan. Just confusing as the only people I know waiting to hear back now are people who have done interviews ect but I guess it is a popular course.

Yes, it’s quite a small cohort I think. Do please ask on Saturday but I’m sure they’ll be cagey! Bristol is notorious for keeping people on hold until late April / May. It is frustrating as this would be her firm choice if she receives an offer.

It’s the exact same for me heard back from 4/5 just this one which is my favourite out of them all, good luck to your daughter too :smile:

Hi! Unfortunately I don't have the best news regarding the course. On the offer holder day there were several people who already held offers for the psychology and neuroscience course and it looked like about 30 which is the number of places the course has. My mum asked someone about it and they said it's unlikely now however if your daughter/ anyone has a place at Bristol there is a possibility to swap over once you've enrolled. I've gathered now that it's likely they're waiting for the current offer holders to reject/accept and then if there are rejections they will hand out offers to the remaining candidates, so it’s not necessarily bad news and definitely not a no

Hi, thank you so much for the update! I suppose it will just depend where else these people have offers but it sounds like the chances are slim unless several decide to accept other courses.

Yes it will be my firm and the other Bristol course will be my insurance, I wish your daughter the best as well it’s so frustrating not hearing back
