Know what the role of a physiotherapist is. Have a good idea of what areas a physio can work in and what they might do. Relate this to the skills that would be required in this role and why.
•
Have examples of each skill and quality you have that will benefit this role. It would be great if you have any clinical experience or any shadowing but if you don't then that's okay!! It's all about those transferrable skills and always linking it back to the career. A good baseline of skills to have are the 6 C's.

Linking to the previous point, a really good format to answer questions and demonstrate your skills in is the STAR format. I would definitely look into this
•
Breathe and think before you answer, this will help you collect your thought and settle any nerves you might have
•
Show good teamwork and communication skills if you are working with others. Body language and active listening are key. Take in what your team members say and boost each other up. This is how you would work in an MDT so this is key to take into account.
•
Rationalise your points - physiotherapists always have to clinically reason why they do any thing in practice, so this will be great thing to demonstrate if you are asked a scenario question
•
Be enthusiastic!! Show how passionate you are about the course and explain why you want to be in this career. If you have a field of interest then you can talk about that too
•
Research the modules you will be doing and the university. This will show the board how prepared you are and this can help your application.
