how to get into politics?

hii ive been doing a crim and policing degree for the past 2 years, hopefully doing a politics related masters after (more for my own enjoyment over any need for it) and ive been setting up everything for years to eventually go into the police on a dheprogramme. ive always been interested in politics and very opinionated about it but since i started actually volunteering snd beibg active locally i have genuinely fallen in love with it all 🥲🩷 i want to work in a politics related role but im
not too sure on all the different entry level roles? would anyone more clued up mind suggesting possible roles snd careers in politics? (plz dont say mp or councillor 😭) and anyth i can be doing to better my chances having come from a criminology and policing background? im already active locally and attend meetings, canvass, volunteer etc; but just anything you think i can be doing that will help
me level myself when i graduate with other graduates?

Have you considered being a lobbyist?

Volunteer for a local political party for the forthcoming local elections.
Ask about paid work for elections (polling stations and vote counting) with your local City/County Council.
