Bath economics rejection

Applied with 3A*s predicted in maths biology and chemistry with a pretty good personal statement. Just found I’ve been rejected from Econ. Was this year really competitive?

Hey I also received a rejection and on another post I saw an anonymous user (could be you lol) be predicted the same grades and also get rejected. I applied with 2 A* and an A in maths, chemistry and physics respectively. I thought my personal statement was also good but to be honest most people applying for this course will probably have a good personal statement. I also got rejected from Durham. It’s hard to say what Bath were looking for this year and what they were picky about.

Probably was me lol😂, planning on emailing bath to see what else I could have done. Holding out for UCL now but it looks bleak I must say. Apparently they had around 4000 applicants for economics alone this year so pretty cut throat. That 2007 birth surge really screwing us

It’s mental, you should be getting an offer, there are not physical that many students applying to their economics course with stats as good as those for them to be rejecting candidates of that level.

Agree, We are glad that my DD has Warwick Econ offer and that's definately better than Bath.

Have Bristol offer. So Bristol will be insurance.

I got a Bath offer with 3A*s (Maths,Econ, History) + A AS FM + A* EPQ predicted grades. I’m shocked so many people with strong grades are getting rejected. Bath is my insurance after Warwick firm.
