Annoying mother in law

Why is my mother in law so weird she’s going on holiday and she goes infront of everyone ‘oh she will cook for him’ why does she need to come in between what i do I’m not my husbands personal chef to be cooking for him and the firstly why does she embarrass me and make me feel like that infront of my siblings. I don’t know what to do because I’m angry right now and she can’t tell me what I do or what I don’t do
