BTEC Level 3 Business

So i got a distinction in all of my coursework, a merit in my marketing exam and a distinction in my Personal and Business Finance exam. I am wondering if I can get a distinction star or not?

Possibly. I assume you're doing the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Business. Is that correct?

Each unit earns you BTEC points, depending on the size of that unit and the grade you achieve. They then total all those points to establish your overall grade. For exam-based units, the mark you obtain also has an impact as you get more points for higher marks, even if you don't reach the next grade boundary. So for Unit 2, Developing a Marketing Campaign, the points you got for that Merit will be different depending on whether you just hit the Merit grade boundary or were one mark off the Distinction grade boundary. That difference in points impacts the overall grade you would achieve, which is either a D or D*.

Did you take the Unit 2 exam this January? Do you know what mark you obtained?
