I’m currently finishing my presentation for the EPQ but Ive done nearly 40 slides? Does anyone know if that is too many and if I should cut some of them?…. pls help

Hello, my first thought was that this is too many slides. For context, my EPQ presentation was 11 slides (including title slide + concluding 'thank you slide') and lasted ~10 minutes (excluding time for questions). I do AQA.
I recommend looking at some exemplar EPQ presentations online to get an idea of what to include. Also, there are some good templates online for EPQ presentations which can help structure your presentation. Hope this helps
