Leeds university Accommodation

Hey I got an offer for leeds dentistry, what accommodation would people recommend? I get max loan for reference, but idk how much I should spend on accommodation and I don’t think I plan on working during uni but idk

Also I was wondering if it’s worth it for me to move out to leeds, I live in bradford and I’ve always wanted to move out bcs I hate living here (if you know you know) but leeds uni is only about a 30 minute & one hour if I decide to take public transport, I’m also from a very family oriented culture so I’d feel bad if I left my parents but I really want this independence 😭 I was thinking if I decide to not commute, I could spend the time travelling towards working instead

I would say it depends on your spending habits and ability to budget - average accom is probably around £150, if you want an en-suite etc but if u are happy to share bathrooms it will be cheaper, you also need to consider what’s important to you - location, storage, space, social accom etc

If it helps I have a Leeds offer and live easy commuting distance but I’m choosing to live in Leeds for the full uni experience, it makes me feel better that I can visit my family if I want to because they are close aswell

I did some research and decided I’m gonna move out too, I’m glad I’m not the only one doing this I thought I was doing a bit of. silly decision bcs my family said I should commute to save money
