UGREG- Is this a good revision technique ? N

Right so I’m a bit of an idiot tbh I should have MADE MATERIALS since year 12.. or earlier in the year but my ADHD brain said no

Basically my plan is to write very detailed and essay plans for psychology n sociology and then biology also on flashcards
First paper is on the 16th may so I aim to finish paper 1 psycholofy flashcards by before or on April 16th so this happens same with every other paper but the month before.
So for example sociolgoy paper 1 is on 19th? I think of may so I finish paper 1 sociolgoy on flashcards before 19th April? If that makes sense ? Then I keep reviewing this for a month and do past papers and essays using these flashcards and continuously retrieving them into my LTM. Does this seem effective for As in sociolgoy n psychology? And maybe like a D… in biology

Hi @ilovespareribs ,

It sounds like you have a great plan set up! In order to remain organised I recommend creating a revision timetable. This way, you can ensure you dedicate enough time each week to particular subjects/topics. For example, I dedicated 2 hours a day to revision, during these two hours I'd dedicate about 30-45 minutes to creating revision cards, 25 minutes doing practice question and any remaining time going over revision cards.

Overall your current strategy sounds great, just make sure to remain organised to avoid missing important elements. Additionally, make sure to dedicate time to past papers as learning how to answer questions is also important. Also make sure to avoid burnout by giving yourself plenty of time for your own hobbies. 🙂

Goodluck with your mocks, please feel free to ask me any questions,
-Sophia (University of Central Lancashire)

Your plan sounds solid! Creating detailed essay plans and using flashcards for review is an effective strategy for psychology and sociology. The key is consistent review and retrieval practice, which helps with long-term memory. For biology, flashcards are great, but adding diagrams for visual processes might help too. Keep it up and stay consistent—good luck with your exams!
