Can you do a fast track pharmacy course after doing a neuroscience degree?

Hello,
I've been wondering whether its possible to do fast track pharmacy degree after I completed my neuroscience. I don't think I could do 4 years again, but I've already signed up for neuroscience and have a place at the uni of Edinburgh. I've recently become interested in doing pharmacy after I do neuroscience as I love both but can't stand the idea of doing another 4yrs. Any help??
Do these "fast track pharmacy degrees" exist? Which unis offer them?

Also how would you intend to fund that course?

Honestly, I'm not too sure at this point because I keep getting confusing info on the subject.

I've personally never heard of any kind of "fast track" or "graduate entry" pharmacy courses in the UK. My understanding is you need to do the same degree. My understanding is also that it is not an exception course for the purpose of second degree funding from SFE.

If you want to be a qualified pharmacist, particularly as you haven't yet started a degree at uni yet - I would just recommend you reapply for pharmacy?

If you do want to pursue a clinical career there are other allied health professions which are eligible for second degree funding (although most just require a full new undergrad degree), such as nursing, physiotherapy, radiography etc. But pharmacy is not one of those as I understand, at least at present (of course this may change by the time you graduate...!).

I originally wanted to do medicine, but, I did bad in my ucat as I underprepared and had a volunteering job, I gave up on that because I thought it would ruin my chances of ever getting into med. I realllly regret it now, im probably gonna still try to get into med maybe thru clearing? I heard that they do that. Or I was thinking of doing neurosychology coz I get to talk to patients which is the main thing I wanna do outside of med, but the route to get there is so confusing.. I need to inquire more before I'm sure that's the route for me, I'm praying that God guides me on the right path so for now, I'll have to focus on getting the grades, which I can do.

Just take a gap year and reapply to medicine. If medicine is your goal don't faff about doing other degrees and whatnot. Just go straight for your goal by the path of least resistance, which would be taking a gap year and reapplying with a new UCAT score. Will also give you extra time to get more work experience and reflect on that without worrying about exams, and you'll be able to fully focus on UCAT prep

Very typical route for medicine applicants to take.

Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply, I'm a bit scared to do a gap year because idk how my parents will react since they want me in uni so bad and I already have an offer for edinburgh, am I allowed to do that?

You aren't required to accept an offer you are made...if you want to decline the offer and take a gap year do it.

And it's your life, not your parents. If you live the rest of your life for your parents then you're going to become very bitter and resentful to them when you get older and did not do what you wanted to do with your life.

No.
The Mpharm (4 years plus 1 qualifying year, then exam to achieve registration) is the only route into pharmacy. Don't do a degree you are unsure about.
There may be pharmacy places in clearing, or take a year out to decide.
