You say you "believe Carnegie village is fully booked already". What has lead you to believe that? Have you tried booking it and received a message that it's full? Are you able to provide the exact wording of the message?

The reason I ask is that UCAS doesn't allow universities to allocate accomodation on a first-come first-served basis until after the deadline for making a firm/insurance - i.e. 5 June 2025. This is to avoid students being pressured into making that decision early in the hope of securing accommodation. The rule is explained in this PDF.

So if Carnegie Village is full, and Leeds Beckett are in breach, then I need to alert UCAS. Hence why I'd like to understand what makes you believe it's full.

i’ve made it my firm choice, when i tried to choose accommodation it was not coming up, and then it said if you cannot find the accommodation you want, yours may be full so go on a waiting list?

Well, that does suggest that it might be full.

Unfortunately, all the other Leeds Beckett accommodation seems to be about a 30-minute bus ride from the Headingly campus. :frown:

The accommodation team told us Marsden House was nearest - it's 2.8 miles and there is a local bus service apparently. but the shuttle coaches go from the centre so Plaza and Arena are nearest.

Told by their accomodation system? Or told via mail (or chat, or similar) by the accomodation team?

If so, can you post (or PM me) a screenshot so I make UCAS aware of the breach? (I can't report them without evidence.)

We went to the offer day in April and were told we couldn’t view Carnegie Village because it’s full. The Plaza is also full. The accommodation portal shows both as full and when I called the accommodation team, this was confirmed. There is a waiting list. This is one of the just two accommodations, the other being Arena Village, that are near enough to the shuttle bus from City Campus to get to Headingley Campus. It’s very disappointing.

If I’m honest, the accommodation options at Leeds Beckett are poor. There are possibly 6 options in total. Three are too far out to commute to Headingley. Arena Village is shabby as hell and v expensive snd the reviews for The Plaza not great. I wish I’d not put this as my first choice uni now.
