for general advice, regardless of what exam board u do, you need to be familiar with how to answer each question, because for aqa at least, which is what I do, the questions NEVER change, it is only the texts that change. Hence, you need to know how to tackle the question. there are loads of youtube videos that can help you improve. You also need to know how to tackle unseen texts because the texts are always unseen. For example, use past papers, or find a section of a story or a newspaper article, and try and tackle it. For creative and transactional writing, try and be original, because your examiner is probs tired and sick of marking, so you need to stand out of the crowd and impress them, e.g. by using sophisticated vocab (but plz don't eat a thesaurus and spit it out on the page because that would get rid of meaning), a simple yet strong plot for stories, be detailed, and structure it well. 🙂 hope this helps!
