3d Animation and VFX

Has anyone have any reviews about the 3D animation and vfx course in Uni of Hertfordshire? There are not many reviews about the art courses in general. How great are the facilities and the workload??
Hello! I hear good things about this course and they have a relatively high relevant industry employment rate compared to other universities that offer similar courses. I am not affiliated with the uni and I didn't go there, but I try and stay up to date with the current best digital art courses in the country so I can give decent advice to people trying to enter the games industry (and our neighboring industries like film and visualisation).

Hertfordshire are well-accredited by industry accreditation schemes, which is a good sign (Rookies, SideFX, etc) - this means the course content has been assessed by industry professionals as up to date and professionally applicable with a good quality of teaching.

Generally, you'll find competitive courses (i.e. the ones with the best outcomes) have a higher workload, might be more stringent about entry requirements, and might "stress test" you early, to see how well you can prioritise and manage your time. Creative courses often have less teaching hours than other courses, but with a high workload demand - trust me, you'll need the extra time to complete your assignments. You might find that the first few months feel very rough but as you form good routines and learn how to manage your time in a way that works best for you, it gets easier... at least until deadlines!

Happy to help answer any other (more general) Q's you might have too.
