dumb question: new application on UCAS

can unis see if you start a new application on UCAS ??- like does it say your ID number and then application in progress.
Or they don't seen anything until you submit it? this probably very silly but appreciate any responses

Unis you’re applying to don’t see anything until you submit an application.

Might be able to provide more help if you explain what it is you’re trying to do?

Everything goes 'through' Ucas - in both directions.
So until you have submitted your application to UCAS, and they have processed it and actually sent it on your Unis, the Unis have no sight of it at all. And equally, any decision made/entered by a Uni has to go back through Ucas before its then sent on to you.
