Sending warm welcome. The various forums allow you to create threads depending on what you would like advice or help or guidance or tip on for example if you wanted guidance on a course or on how to be able to get a particular job you would go on “advice on how to apply for job” create a thread like you did now which will only enable response to your thread.

hey there and welcome to tsr! no matter what you're here for, i would definitely recommend checking the last person to post here wins thread (https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7572257) in the forum games section (https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=264)
if you're here as a student you should check out the study help forum (https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=11) and maybe even make a gyg/grow your grades (it's basically a blog where you tell other people what you have to work on and the community helps keep you accountable)
there's also a careers and jobs section though i don't know very much about that
