Is it possible to remember every alevel biology content?

Theres like so much things to remember, how do they expect us to memorise all of that? Evem with flashcards and retrieval theres no way anyone can live knowing that much content

I assume it must be technically possible if it is all you focus on, but very few people have the time.

Instead, I would do exam questions to see how they work. That way you remember the mark scheme instead of all the knowledge. Or you could work through the specification and see what you know (OCR specs are awful for that though).

Also, a lot of A Level Biology questions are application. If you have the basic knowledge, you can infer from the information the rest.

Just to be clear. You still need to put effort in, don't think just because it is 'impossible' to learn it all, you still need to do practice to understand the questions.

Hi, I’m a year 13 and honestly sometimes it does feel like the content is a lot. But it doesn’t need to all be known fluently. Mostly the exam questions are unfamiliar application questions that require you to use the basics and build up from there, so it’s mostly an exam technique subject.

When it comes to the 25 marker essay, choose the topics you feel most comfortable with in your knowledge. You’ll probably find a topic you are good at which you can then work on applying to the vast majority of possible essay questions.
