Hi, I've taught on Access for over 10 years so I can help.

A few points, if you have used up your level 3 funding allocation you will need to apply for an advanced learner loan for Access; however, the good news is it is completely written off when you complete you degree (a unique selling point for access).

Diploma titles don't matter as such, but Access to Nursing and Midwifery, is very different to Access to Science or Access to Health Science. It is the modules studied that matter, I would check with the course co-ordinator for the provider you choose that you are on the right program. If in any doubt, check with the Universities you are interested in that the modules are correct for the progression route you once.

Also, for Nursing you need GCSE English and Maths for most Universities, a few might allow a different level 2 such as functional skills. I would do these first before Access if you get chance it will really help with your UCAS application
