I'm interested too, did you manage to find anything or reviews 🙏?

I have managed to speak to staff and to get hold of all the module objectives and topics. Looks really good. The course is designed for those who are self motivated with their studying and need to fit it around work.
I haven't managed to find anyone studying the course to chat with.

As far as my research goes… this course is not BPS accredited unfortunately, I looked at this one myself when applying for MSc psychology courses so I would opt for one that you know is definitely BPS accredited. I chose to go with uni of derby in the end and I begin my course next month.

They wouldn’t provide the course info unless I gave in my phone number. So it’s a no from me! I gave Kent and Brunel my number and their sales staff were calling me DAILY with their hard sell spiel.

I applied for this course and their Msc Psychology course, both part time and online for June 2025 start. I was accepted for both. I went back and forth a lot on which one to do. The one you have mentioned isn't accredited and so you would have to do another course on top if it isn't accredited by the time you have finished the course. I have settled on doing their Msc Psychology because this will allow me to progress in the clinical field whereas the mental health one seems to be heading towards academia and research job fields.

I rang them and spoke to someone called Chester who has been really helpful regardless of the fact I've been ringing him like 5 times this week with questions and stuff. He has been really patient and helpful!

Long story short I feel less conflicted now I have settled on it. It would be great to connect with anyone else who will be doing this! I had to sort out some student finance problems today and just joined this site to connect with others

Hi there,

I am starting next week - the programme is not currently
Accredited by BPS but I read that the uni has submitted an application to the BPS. What’s your plan: are you still joining?

I am starting this course in September. It isn't accredited at the moment but they have applied for it to be and I read that because mt undergrad is accredited my masters doesn't need to be as I've already satisfied the requirements for bps membership

Hu ,
After speaking to their staff about the course and the fact that the Psychology with mental health course is awaiting BPS accreditation ( which they are highly likely to receive as someone above mentioned the psychology course is already accredited and many of the modules are the same). I felt comfortable to start the course in April. I have just completed the first module Holistic wellbeing and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The format works really well for me and the blackboard learning hub has everything you need , clearly organised . I have been able to contact academic staff for feedback on tasks and if I have had any questions there are a and q boards to engage with staff and students. A student rep has checked in a few times too to see if I need anything. I'm really pleased with the course so far. Please feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions.

Most masters courses wont be accredited because they don't need to be - only conversion courses and those leading to trainee psychologist roles are (forensic, occupational, health, counselling - clinical and educational psychology are doctorates)

The course has been written as a conversion and hopefully it will be accredited in due course. For me it's not a huge problem if it isn't as I'm a very mature student, currently teaching and have been for 26 years. The course has so far been highly relevant to my role and will enhance my teaching and support my students. I'd love to go into further academia after it so fingers crossed it gets the accreditation.

Are you starting the biopsychology module? It looks really interesting if so. Good luck with your studies.

Does the MSc have a recommended reading list?

Hello,

I am looking at starting this course in September. Are you still enjoying it? Do you get much support and also do you have any updates on whether they think the bps accreditation will be approved?

Thank you 😊

Hey everybody! I have a question about the lecture and seminar formats - are they held live and do we get live interaction (even if online) with professors and our fellow students? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find an answer on this... would appreciate any insights 🙂
