It really depends on your flat. I'm in a flat on the top floor currently and I share two bathrooms between 13 people (one bathroom on each corridor; two corridors).
I personally don't like Cavendish because I'm not a person who goes out and drinks a lot, and feel as though my flat is very restrictive (for instance, I don't get to use my kitchen between 6pm and 1/2am every night because my flatmates are either drinking, bringing people over, or having movie nights). However, if you are a sociable person or you feel as though this won't affect you, you'll be fine.
The main problems I've had since living in Cavendish are the kitchen problems I just mentioned, a series of stolen foods from the kitchen (so I would advise you to get a mini fridge and keep your utensils and cupboard foods in your bedroom), and the bathrooms.
There have been a series of problems with my bathrooms, from people not pulling their weight with clearing the bathroom bins to people not cleaning the toilets, showers, sinks, or mirrors, and the showers are constantly blocked because people don't remove their hair from the drains.
As someone who is currently a resident at Cavendish, just set out some rules with your flatmates, avoid getting into drama and just make sure you and your flatmates cooperate with the chores. There are only three washing machines and three dryers for the entire building but the washing system is really simple and they're not usually impossible to use. The common area is good and I like the outside seating/smoking area too.
The building is cleaned weekly (your rooms and flat communal areas are not cleaned, just occasionally your flat's corridors and the rest of the building), you'll have about 1000 fire alarms in your first semester but they stop after Christmas, and maintenance visits are frequent but not disruptive. You'll have two bedroom inspections; one of them is guaranteed (first semester), but the second one is completely chosen at random.
Also if you're going for a plus bedroom; one of the rooms is bigger than the other (I ended up with the smaller 'plus' room for the exact same price, which was a bit crap to find out).
Sorry that this is so long but I hope it helps!
