Last few weeks of University - Financial Difficulty (3rd Year Student)

Hello all, coming up for the final 4 weeks of my studies. Unfortunately I'm running low on funds and my next student loan comes in on the 28th of April. Unfortunately I am unable to set up a student overdraft as I don't have a UCAS code and I have managed to make it to this stage without setting up a student bank account. I actually haven't worked for almost three years believe it or not but I have instead been doing placements to gain experience in my field of study; these were not paid however. Anyway, this situation isn't helping; dissertation is due in 24 days and the stress has been really holding me back and I want to get it done and submitted. I was looking to resort to the hardship fund, however I don't think that they will accept my appeal. My car is on its last breath and needs repairs, I have enough for one weeks worth of shopping. I'm done with University at this point, just want to graduate so I can get my life back! 😆

It's not clear whether you haven't yet applied to the hardship fund, or whether you've applied and been turned down and want to appeal that decision.

It seems perfectly reasonable that someone in your position would apply to the hardship fund. If you have already applied and been turned down, did they give a reason?

Can seek financial support from your parents or relatives, even if only in the form of a loan for a few weeks pending the arrival of your student loan payment?

You might not want to take on paid work right now as your final exams are presumably imminent, but have you started looking for something -- anything -- to start as soon as your exams are over if you haven't got something lined up already?
