cost of york
i currently hold an unconditional offer to study psychology at york but i don't think i can actually afford to go - but it has such amazing career links that i'm absolutely desperate to go. my maintenance loan is approximately £8200 which does not cover the accom i'd love to be in (anne lister band 3). i'm not eligible for the bursary as we make just over the limit. do i just bite the bullet and go for a slightly worse accommodation?
for reference i also work at spoons so would probably be able to transfer my job over and if i worked at least 8 hours a week that'd give me ~£95/week to play around with

Have you considered emailing or calling the accommodation team on [email protected] and +44 (0)1904 322165 to see if they can advise as to the next nearest option if you like the look of Anne Lister band 3? You never know, they might have a great alternative that would be in your price range and allow you to study on the course you have your heart set on.
