Hi, I've just received all my offers from UCAS and they are for IR at St Andrews, Politics at Edinburgh and Pol/IR at Bath. I think Im going to put Bath as my reserve option because it is an AAB offer, so safer that way - however, I'm really not sure which uni to firm.
Here are my thoughts so far...
St Andrews is ranked higher for my course, however all 3 are in the top 10 so this may not be hugely important?
St Andrews also has a better offer (AAA) compared to Edinburgh which is A*AA, so it would be safer to firm St Andrews.
I love the course flexibility of both unis, however I do prefer the system at St Andrews.
But...I live in London so St Andrews is considerably harder and more expensive to access than Edinburgh and I'm also really worried about the lack of clubs in St Andrews because I've got used to those sorts of nights out here in London and I think I will miss that. I've also visited Edinburgh before and LOVED the city.
One of my last concerns though is the fact that Edinburgh has a really low student satisfaction rate, especially for my course, whereas St Andrews is in the 90%s.
I've been thinking about this decision for a while and I have absolutely no clue what to do, so please send some advice!
