Thanks for opening the thread. Does anyone have any recommendations for accomodation near campus?

I live locally so can give you a few tips on different areas you're interested in. Tooting Broadway is closest to the hospital/uni, very lively with lots of bars and restaurants around. Well connected on the tube too. Tooting itself is split a bit so you also have Tooting Bec which is a bit more upmarket but expensive too. Both walkable for sure. Similarly Balham is the next stop on the tube north but definitely a lot calmer/ slightly more of a family area but very pleasant, probably have to get a tube/bus/cycle from here.

Further down you have Colliers Wood which is another walkable area to uni. It's a bit quieter in terms of things to do but got a good selection of bigger shops (massive Lidl, Sainsbury's etc) and is on the northern line still so easy to get around.

I'm personally in the Wimbledon area and probably likely to stay around there. It's a bit more affordable for a nice mixture of life/shops/quiet, but 30 mins on the bus or 20 mins cycle with traffic etc. If you're considering anywhere further out let me know and happy to help!

Does anyone know when we will be getting more details on occupational health etc or is that after we accept the offer?

Do you think many people will move straight to these areas? Or go into uni accommodation first?

I had assumed most people would go for uni accommodation, but maybe this won't be the case?

I heard that uni accommodation is prioritised for international students, I’ll be looking for a house share if anyone has a similar idea? x

Hi guys, I’m not a current student but I’m a student that’s looking to apply to SGUL GEM for 2026. I just recently took the March GAMSAT. I’m really eager to know what everyone’s GAMSAT scores were, hopefully to give me some hope. So please if you feel comfortable sharing can you please reply and tell me your GAMSAT scores and any other qualifications you may have i.e masters or undergrad

They have the minimum GAMSAT score needed each year for interview on their website
I’m pretty sure if you meet the minimum score you automatically go to interview and after that it’s more about your interview performance.
It’s difficult to predict what the exact cut-off will be each year but it can give you an idea!
I also have a first class undergrad degree and I got an offer for next year!

Hey guys! I also have an offer for St George’s starting next year
I heard that St George’s has quite a lot of vacant uni accommodation, but I’m not sure how true that is! I personally will probably live at home at least for the first year although it is a bit of a commute :frown:

Anyone know when we can book the uni accom or how we start the occupational health assessments.
