Virtual work experience

Ive completed 2 work experience virtual experiences on Springpod and am currently working on a third one. I do plan on getting in-person work experience too but I just want to explore as many industries within my interests as I can! Does doing virtual work experience help with getting a job as an adult? Is it anywhere near as valuable as in person experience? Does it look better on applications and stuff to have completed only a few of these type of programs or to have done a lot of them? I want to do them just to explore my options but not if it’s going to somehow disadvantage me in the future somehow by making it look like Ive rushed them or not focused my efforts on the experiences. Any responses would be greatly appreciated

Just think how much more interesting your CV will look against someone who has only done their school exams! Yes, it will help you in the future. Be able to explain why you chose each experience and what skills you gained from them and how those skills can translate into future employment. Make sure that is included in your CV. As long as you can do that, it shows your willingness to learn, to improve yourself, your academic abilities and your interest in different areas. I say go for it as "in-person" work experience can be hard to get so this will definitely work in your favour. Hope that helps.

Well done! It's good to take the initiative to find out more about different careers this early on. Saying this as a graduate, getting virtual work experience definitely helps - because you have more of an understanding of what different professionals do, and it's something to put on your CV. Once you use these to get, or get in-person work experience some other way, of course you'll learn more and eventually, when you have enough experience, you can remove these virtual work experiences out of your CV or make them into a smaller section in it.
It definitely won't disadvantage you in any way!

Thanks so much for the clarification, that makes a lot of sense!
