(Depending on how things go - ask if she wants to go away next weekend - Prague - although may keep destination a secret)?

Back to hotel to give proper present (lingerie) when bought away.

Hopefully she stays - dependong on how she feels.

You sound like my dad, when my dad used to take my mum out it would only ever be places that sell alchohol, in fact even when I was a kid my dad only suggestion days out that invovled alchohol.

strange one. it is a 1st date, but I met her jus before xmas and she knows I fancy the pants off her. We work for the same company but live miles apart so we email about 10 - 15 times a day, so in one way we know each other quite well.

Also, the pressies are pressies I'd bought when i went away for her (she knew i was getting something) - just haven't given them to her yet!

I would be majorly creeped out if a guy brought me lingerie on a first date, no matter how long I'd known him for. How did you know her bra size? Plus, you must REALLY bloody like her if you're whisking her off to Prague :eek:

Not sure the going away idea is that good then...
look at it this way: While I'm sure you really like her and she lkes you too, you have never actually spent some time together, you've never seen her in a bad mood (like she's never seen you) or when people are in their 'I'm-terribly-annoying-righ-now' mood...

Never ever buy a woman lingerie on a first date. The flowers and teddy are enough if she wants to go away to prague give her the lingerie then. its major overkill to give lingerie on a first date valentines or no, it will make her think you're only after one thing.

Above is a good first date. Personally the rest would be too much and a tad scary and overwhelming for a first date. Give her a little room.

In my defence re: Prague, I have to travel 3 hours to see her in any case, so I figure why not go somewhere good. Besides, its cheaper over there and more romantic surely?

Personally, I'm not actually lookin 4 anything serious - dont think anything that happens would be long term in any case because of differing circumstance. Still, life is short so I think, go for it and enjoy the opportunities as they arise!

I know that it can read as heavy, but actually it's because it's entirely the opposite that I'm prepared to ask - does that make sense?

Yeah but not good to suggest when your just starting to see someone and plus having just got back from prague-it aint that cheap!

Like Frost said - Prague isn't cheap! You have to go a bit of a way outside Prague before being over there becomes cheap!
