Can I self study Economics or should I do another subject?

Currently I have economics Bussiness and law and I haven't started anything yet and will be appearing for my exams in October November do you think 6 months is sufficient for a level(AS) economics or should I change it to either accounting or sociology or should I just keep economics and appear in next years may June?. I haven't had previous experience in economic and I haven't done o level economics. And if I want to get a finances degree does it matter that I have sociology?
For a degree in finances you’ll ideally want to be doing maths (and preferably further maths for top uk unis). Not sure if this applies outside of the uk so check the requirements of unis outside of the uk if you’re looking to apply for those. Note that some unis dont like business and economics in combination.
@sdfj does economics so could perhaps give you an idea of the course
@Geo Lover 7 and @always-anxious study sociology so could maybe answer any questions you have on sociology

This is worded unclearly.

I understood it as the OP has chosen their a level options (business, econ and law) as a private candidate probably and plans to study the content from now until October/November when they plan to take their as levels. They are concerned about whether this is achievable for econ and wondering if they should switch it out for sociology or accounting.
So they're taking AS and A-Level?

A-Level economics in 6 months? It’s classified as one of the most difficult A-Levels - that’ll be a tall order. If AS, then you should be alright. Economics takes some time to get used to for a lot of students: it’s new and the exam technique required can be quite difficult to wrap your head around. Which board?

Finance degrees wouldn’t really require economics - they want maths and often further maths for the top universities so just think twice about that.

And business + econ isn’t a good idea. There’s a small overlap but often they aren’t regarded as a great combination together.
