Hi there,

Try not to worry too much about this! I am sure that you picked the one you have chosen for a reason and you must have thought it was the right choice at the time.

If you can, it might be a good idea to go to some open days as you are able to see them again (or for the first time if you haven't already been to one) and this might help you to think if you have made the right choice. These are usually good ways of meeting some tutors and looking around the campus so it might help you with your decision.

If you really think you have made the wrong choice, maybe have a look into clearing? I think lots of people think that cleaning is only for results day, but you may be able to apply again for one of those universities through clearing. It is worth a look anyway as if you can do this it would be worth it!

You want to be happy with your choice so it is worth looking into this more to make sure you are happy!

I hope some of this helps,

Lucy -SHU student ambassador.

Just be aware that some of these so-called colleges are a bit dubious. They get set up very quickly and disappear again after only a year or so. They do not have any background/reputation for anything, and are only interested in making money. I always advise students to give them a very wide swerve and look instead at established Universities. - where you would have all the conventional Uni facilities, support and backup that these 'colleges' will not provide.

If you have already Firmed a an offer, there is something you can do if you want to change your mind - but you need to do this fairly quickly. With the consent of your preferred choice, it is sometimes possible to still change your Firm, or to switch your Firm and Insurance around. Decide what you want to do, and then phone UCAS. They wilt tell you what impossible and what you need to do. Just think carefully before you make the call.

It is its third year being open so I don’t think they would just “disappear” as u said. And the money making aspect wouldn’t change much because all universities especially the established larger unis just want to make money out of students.
It seems like a great university and from what I saw when I visited the support is good. And the facilities for my subject are amazing. The one thing I am worried about is the social aspect of this uni as im worried that people will be very introverted so I wouldn’t make friends.

I do Esports at University of Staffordshire so I've become friends with plenty of people from College of Esports so if you find yourself within the right crowds then the social aspect is definitely there.
Not 100% sure for Games Art there but Esports students are a lot more sociable than you think so if you put yourself out there you should be alright making friends.

It's also in London so there's LOADS of people around.

Thank you,

We hope Kurtis' post has offered you some reassurance 🙂

If you’re still unsure, it may still be possible to switch courses at this stage. You can find further details about this on UCAS here: Making changes to your UCAS Undergraduate application.

You can also contact us at [email protected] and we will be more than happy to help.
